It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Mahala Weeks Childress of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, I. B. Weeks and Martha Weeks; her husband Paul Jamison Childress; and her son Allan Childress (Virginia). She is survived by: her daughter Karen Childress Williams (Gray).
