Ada Branson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ada Branson (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on April 18, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Columbus and Eliza Easter Jones; her husband James Willie Branson; her daughter Margaret Hanks; her sons-in-law, Rudy Woods, Beauford Hanks and Jimmy Surratt; her grandchildren, Brittany Branson and Landon Branson; her great great grandchild Viola Gilley; and her siblings, Jerry, James Jones and Ruth Bowman.
She is survived by: her children, Bessie Surratt, James (Janet Branson) and Jerry (Darlene Branson); and her grandchildren, Marie (Chris Hellier), Sheila (Darrell Ferguson), Jaymee (Jeff Chandler), Johnny (Chasity Surratt), Kevin Davis and J. T. Branson. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Due to the limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a private graveside service will be held at Skyline Memory Gardens.
