He is survived by: his wife Catherine O'Brien Sweezey; his brother James Sweezey (Marcia Sweezey); his children, Jeffrey Sweezey (Trisha Sweezey) and Suzanne Sweezey Anderson (Mike Hughes); and his grandchildren, Johanna Sweezey, Theresa Sweezey, Jeffrey Sweezey, Ashley Anderson and Michael Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
