He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Ross and Cora Shuping Ross; his wife Minnie Pearl Smith Ross; and his siblings, Frank, Thurman Ross, Gladys Ross, Mildred Smith, Mary Jane Pike and Beatrice Conley.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Goins (Benny) and Ted Clark (Mary); his grandsons, Josh Goins (Heather) and Travis Clark (Danielle); and his great grandchildren, Emma, Carter and Lily.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the family will be having a private graveside at Burkemont Baptist Church Cemetery.
