He was predeceased by: his father William Alexander Avery; and his siblings, Susan A. Johnson, Jimmy Avery and Perry Avery. He is survived by: his brothers, Bruce Avery (Leila) of Casar and Russell Avery of Shreveport; his uncle Charles Davis of Morganton; his sister-in-law Ida Avery of South Carolina; and his cousin Carolyn Fleming. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
