He is survived by: his wife Barbara Elliott Tate; his children, Bobby Tate (JoAnn), Melanie Fite (Andrew) and Shane Tate (Samantha); and his siblings, Gail Blackwell, Orleen Morgan (Tim) and Ronnie Tate (Brenda). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
