We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2021, at the age of 88, Vera Whisnant Ollis of Morganton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Whisnant and Beulah Whisenant Whisnant; her husband Edward McDonald Ollis; and her siblings, Alice Perkins, Herb and Russ Whisnant.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Wease (Bill) and Donna Ollis (Randy Fox); her grandchildren, Rusty Hollifield, Jr., Angie Wease, Taylor Hamby and Christian Hamby; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, Michael, Cody, Lyric, Kennedy and Kate; her brother Joe Whisnant (Dorothy); and her niece Susan Perkins Hudson (Todd). She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Baptist Church or to Amorem Hospice.
