It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Van Karen Burns Coffey (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on October 2, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Estes Burns and Dorothy Dellinger Burns; and her sister Melissa Gilley. She is survived by: her husband James Edward Coffey; her sons, Scott Michael Coffey (Rebecca) and Skip Aaron Coffey (Christine); her granddaughter Skyler Adkins; and her siblings, Phillip Burns and Mary Jo Fyfe.
