He is survived by: his parent Margaret Ruth Curtis Carswell; his wife Ruth Carolyn Cook Carswell; his son Van Keith Carswell of Vale; and his siblings, Walter Luther Carswell (Estelle) of Jonas Ridge and Betty C. Hudson of Nebo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
