He was predeceased by: his parent Jerry Powell; his grandparents, Rev. Bill and Senia Pendley; and his brother-in-law Ricky Finney. He is survived by: his mother Janice Pendley Houston; his wife Connie Stiles Powell; his children, Chrystal Whisnant (Douglas) and Josh Stiles; his siblings, Lesia Finney, Terry Hart (Peggy), Anita Lund (Steven) and Myron Hart (Cindy); and his grandsons, Jacob Aaron, Ethan Whisnant and Aiden Whisnant. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
