It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Blevins Powell of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Flora Silver Blevins; her husband Arnold Eugene Ray; her children, Arnold Eugene Ray, Jr., Gary Keith Ray and Karen Loretta Ray; and her grandchildren, Angela Dawn Ray, James David McGalliard, Tommy Garrett Ray and Jamie Lee Cherry.
She is survived by: her son Perry Randall Ray; and her grandchildren, Jason Eugene Ray, Perry Daniel Ray, Tequila Michelle Cherry, Amanda Diane Ray, Melissa Gail Ray, Danielle Michelle Ray, Jeremy Ray, Justin Dean Chapman, Billy Dean Potter, Jerico Nathaniel Chapman, Kassy Rayann Chapman, Melisha Sheehan, Jordan Nichole Ray and Cody Williams. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
