She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Delbert Maltba and Ruby Stewart Maltba; her daughters, Crystal Woodie and Brenda Gibson; and her husband Buster Vance.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Hollifield (Ronnie Woodie) of Newland, NC, Vanessa Stout (David) of Morganton, NC, Claudia Cook (Larry) of Morganton, NC, Ronnie Vance (Diane) of Jonas Ridge, NC and Roger Vance (Christy) of Crossnore, NC; her brother Newt Maltba of Newland, NC; and her extended family, Dale Laws and Jerry Stout. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
