It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Smith Hinegardner of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Florence Smith; and her husband Rex Arnold Hinegardner. She is survived by: her children, Samantha H. Waddell (Geoffrey) of Morganton, Teresa W. Young (Kevin) of Grandy, NC and Timothy Whisnant of Cheyenne, WY; her stepson Jon Hinegardner of George Hildebran; and her grandchildren, Timothy Lewing (Bobbi) of Many, LA, Brittany Ebarb (Derek), Aaron Tyler Young, Karah Jane Young of Grandy, NC, Grayden Palmer Waddell, Jenna Paige Waddell of Morganton, Elijah and Ezekiel Whisnant. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and several surviving siblings.
