It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Williams Drury (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on November 10, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Uray Williams and Ruth Cole Williams; her husband Jack Whitley Drury; her daughter Kathy Drury Johnston; her grandchildren, Chance Drury and Jamie Brittain; and her siblings, Howard, Dean, Tony Williams, Beatrice Epley, Gladys Walker and Patsy Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Lethia Drury, Diane Drury Kiddy (Doug), Sandra Drury Barnes (Sammy), Delores Drury Buchanan and John H. Drury (Penny); her grandchildren, Malik Drury, Scott Kiddy, Jason Kiddy, Shaun Kiddy, Jessica Brittain, Haley Peaden, Dennis Hale, Jo Elle Hemphill, Johnathan Drury, Elizabeth Smith and Brittany Taylor; and her siblings, David Williams and Linda Norvell. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
