He was predeceased by: his parent Claude E. Griffin, Sr.; and his son Jeff Griffin. He is survived by: his children, Susan Griffin Deal of Morganton and David Griffin of Morganton; his grandson Michael Zimmer (Heather) of Morganton; his great grandchildren, Logan, Mason and Zane; and his great great grandchild Layla. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
