She is survived by: her children, Jimmy McDowell, Sr. (Sarah) and Linda Mull; her siblings, Dorothy Jones and Edward Sanderlin, Jr.; and her grandsons, Danny McDowell, David McDowell, James McDowell, Jr. and Michael McDowell. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
