It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laton Alton Horton of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Laton Alton Horton, Sr.; and his brother Harold Lee Horton, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Mary Elizabeth Fortune Horton of Morganton; his wife Brenda Lail Horton; his daughter Dawn H. Young (Mark); his grandchildren, Drew of Salisbury, Jake of Salisbury and Tabitha Horton of Morganton; his siblings, Norma Jean Horton and Fred Horton (Nina); his nieces, Katie and Sarah; his nephew Harold Lee Horton, Jr.; his sister-in-law Terry Horton; and his uncle William "Bud" Horton (Lena).
