He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Merrill and Jean Merrill; and his siblings, Ray Merrill and Patsy Merrill. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Merrill; his daughter Megan Lawlor (Allen); his sister Susan Abernathy (Tim); his niece Rebecca Abernathy Wykle (Chad); and his nephews, Pat Abernathy and Jay Merrill (Kelly).
