It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Wood Rector (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Manuel Wood and Lilly Mae Gurley Wood; her husband Stanley W. Rector; and her siblings, Manuel Wood, Jr., Andy Joseph Wood, Lucille Wood, Lucy Vickers, Dorothy White and Billie Baughman.
She is survived by: her son Stephen W. Rector (Mariana); and her sister Artie Helton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
