He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Lewis Lowdermilk, Sr. and Mary Louise; his wife Mary Buchanan Lowdermilk; his children, Jeffery Lewis Lowdermilk (Betsy) of Morganton and Marisa Louise Lowdermilk; his grandchildren, Thomas Kiel Blanton (Libby), Jordan Spencer Lowdermilk (Autumn) and Jade Isis Settle (Heath); his great grandchild Berkley Lora Settle; and his pet Sandy Mae. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
