It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnese Eudora Houck Dean (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on November 29, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Lula Hildred Houck; her husband Jacob S. Dean; her stepfather E. C. Houck; her brother Thomas Houck; and her sons-in-law, J. P. Carr, Tony Triplett, Lew Edwards and David Abee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Gail Carr, Glendora Edwards and Carol Abee; her grandchildren, Angel Carr-Lang (Jason), Phil Carr, Mark Carr (Kim), Renee Triplett Church (Mike), Tammy Triplett Carrell (Matt), Mike Abee (Jeanette) and Jennifer Abee (Ian Smith); her stepgranddaughter Amy Chegash (Andy); and her brothers-in-law, Harold and Paul Dean. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
