John Ray Stroup Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Ray Stroup (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on April 15, 2022 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Stroup and Harriet Stroup; and his brother Fred Stroup. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Buchanan Stroup; his daughter Whitney Brook Stroup; his sister-in-law Patricia Stroup; his brother Stephen Stroup (Jane); and his pets, Lincoln James and Carter Grant.
Honors will be provided by the NC Fallen Firefighters Foundation Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the NC Fallen Firefighters Foundation or to Salem Fire and Rescue.
