He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Long and Cordie Long; and his wife Myrtle "Bill" Lewis Long. He is survived by: his daughter Frances Whisnant; his grandson Jeffery A. Whisnant (Sandra); his great grandchildren, Ashley Whisnant, Tyler Whisnant and Shaelyn Carson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Nichole Hendrix and Deni Smith (Brandon); and his great great grandchildren, Brooklyn Smith, Maddie Smith, Rylee Smith, Keara Hendrix and Lakada Nissen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
