With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Reid of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Reid and Dorothy Brown Reid; his former wife Brenda Baker Reid; and his siblings, Winfred Reid, Haskell Reid, Sandra Jean Reid and Louise H. Holland.
He is survived by: his wife Janet S. Reid; his son Byron Reid (Briana) of Rutherfordton; his stepdaughters, Kay Wray (Kevin) of Rutherfordton, Cathy Greene of Rutherfordton and Aylene Allen (Brent) of Rutherfordton; his siblings, Geneva Wilson of Valdese, Rita Roberson of Burton Michigan, Ernest Reid of Lenoir, Larry Reid of Lenoir and Ronald Reid of Morganton, Three; his grandsons, Bryson, Brock and Braden Reid; and his stepgrandchildren, Brianna Puckett, Seth Wray, Dylan, Cody Greene, Carolina, Carley and Chloe Allen.
