It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilda Henrietta Thiessens Edney (Morganton, North Carolina), born in Salt Lake City, Utah, who passed away on August 16, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hermannus Thiessens and Henderika Folkers Thiessens; her husband James Grayson Edney; her son Donald G. Edney; and her siblings, Folkert "Ted" Thiessens (Margaret), Herman "Hank" Thiessens (Phyllis), Joseph Thiessens, Ruth Thiessens Meacham (Paul) and Grace Thiessens Sheldon (Dave).
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis J. Edney (Leslie) and Dean A. Edney (Beth); her granddaughters, Melissa C. Edney and Chastity E. Stapleton (Jethro); and her great grandchild Opal E. Edney. She is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family.
