She is survived by: her husband Howard Bennett; her son William Max Lawing, Jr. (Jennifer) of Morganton; her brother James Kincaid, Jr. of Hickory; and her grandson Andrew Tyler Lawing (Faith Coffey) of Lenoir. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter; one niece; and five nephews.
