He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Edward Yancey, Sr. and Verna Towery Yancey; his daughter Mary Roberta Yancey; and his brother Samuel Yancey. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Buchanan Yancey; his children, Earl Edward Yancey, Aundrea Yancey Shell (Randy) and Robert Andrew Yancey; his stepsons, David Pearson (Christine) and James Brian Pearson (Donna); and his siblings, Edwina Deal (Frankie) and Dean Yancey (Nancy). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
