He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Weldon and Naomi Hina; his wife Peggy Lee Jones Hina; and his sisters, Marian Hina Stuart and Janet Hina Clarke.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Dunn (Art) of Morganton, Anne Hina of Morganton, JuLee Comer (Chris) of Laurel, MD and David Hina (Amy) of Murphy, NC; and his grandchildren, Allison, Melissa, Michael Dunn, Kali, Mei Mei, Caleb Hina, Jon and Zoey Comer.
