He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Cuthbertson Byrd; and his parents, J. Paul Byrd and Ruth E. Byrd. He is survived by: his children, Paula Hand (Kent) and Joel S. Byrd (Caitlin); his grandchildren, Brett Hand, Ashley Foxworth (Jared), Nicole Fortin (Clay) and Elijah Byrd; his great grandchild Jack Foxworth; his sister Brenda Cantrell (Johnny); his niece Anne Day (David); and his nephew Bill Cantrell (Linda).
