She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Hurt and Edna Allen Hurt; her husband Frank V. Carswell; and her siblings, Paul Hurt, Lewis Hurt, Floyd Lee Hurt, Robert Hurt, Mildred Webb, Jean Aldridge, Pansy Poarch and Nellie Hurt.
She is survived by: her sons, David Carswell (Sandra) and Jimmy Carswell; her grandchildren, Kendra Grose (Evan), Benjamin Carswell and Bobby Carswell (Chelsea); her great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Rosalyn Grose and Dean Carswell; and her siblings, Edward "Babe" Hurt, Sarah Anderson, Geraldine Gibson and Linda Mitchell.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem (Former Burke Hospice) or Salvation Army.
