He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Barrett and Josephine Barrett. He is survived by: his children, JoAnn Scime (Phil) of Kings Park, NY, Carmel Barrett of Glendale, AZ, William Barrett (Nidia) of Danbury, CT and Richard Barrett (Elizabeth) of Kings Park, NY; his sister Bridget Lee of England; his wife Ellen Barrett; his grandson Brian; and his siblings, Sean, Cisty, Thomas, Frank, Lawrence, Anna and Noreen. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Egbert Catholic Church (1706 Evans St, Morehead City, NC 28557).
