He is survived by: his father Wilkie Charles Surrett; his wife Ruth King; his children, Shelia Burleson (Craig) of Alpharetta, GA and Leslie King; his grandchildren, Brandon King, Brianna King, Elijah King, Mathew Burleson, Aaron Burleson, Emily Burleson, Joshua Burleson, Rachael Burleson and Abigail Burleson; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Aura and Grayson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Munden Funeral Home & Crematory (2112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the Gethsemane Memorial Park (700 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570).
