It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Stephen Lanier Jr. (Morehead City, North Carolina), who passed away on April 22, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Lanier Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Pipkin of Raleigh; his sisters, Diana Perry of Raleigh and Brenda Puryear (Darrell Kueltzo) of Raleigh; and his nephews, Steve Puryear, Simon Perry and James Puryear.
