Trae Dominique Smith Obituary
Trae Dominique Smith, 29, of Moorefield WV - recently residing in Morehead City NC, passed away suddenly on Thursday March 3, 2022.
Trae was born on March 1, 1993 in Hagerstown, MD and was raised by his beloved grandmother Carol Thomas in Moorefield, WV along with his sister Taija Thomas.
After graduating from Moorefield High School in 2012, Trae went on to attend West Virginia University.
Trae was preceded in death by his brother Louis Richardson.
He is survived by his grandmothers Carol Thomas sand Crystal "Nanny" Cook, his sisters Taija Thomas and Cheyenne Lender, brothers DaShawn Brown, Devin Smith, Damian Smith, and Joseph Williamson, nephew Eli Louis Hollingsworth, parents Donna and Frank Smith, bonus parents Cheryl Brown-Lender, Shawn Lender, Patrick & DeeDee Thomas, Michele Thomas, and Amy Inskeep, cousins Brooklyn and Madison Thomas, aunts Jacky Rogers and Samantha Cosenza, and too many friends and loved ones to name.
His companion through life and his best friend was his dog Rocco who he loved like his own child. Rocco now resides with Trae's sister Taija.
Trae had many interests - music, travel, nature, adventure. What Trae loved most of all was his family and friends. Many people loved and were loved by Trae. One of his many Starseed gifts was his ability to make each one of his people feel singularly special and loved by him. Trae will be remembered for his contagious laugh and infectious positive energy.
