With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Teresa Johnson Vaughn of Morehead City, North Carolina, born in Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2022 at the age of 68. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Sellie Johnson, Jr. and Helen McLeod Johnson; her brothers, Braxton Keith Johnson and Walter Sherrill Johnson; and her grandson Wesley Chase Hinnant.
She is survived by: her husband William Kenneth Vaughn Jr.; her son William Kenneth Vaughn III (Crystal Marie Vaughn); her grandchildren, Marcus Evan Vaughn and Zoey Lynn Vaughn; her daughter Sara Vaughn Shearin (James Coye Shearin); her grandchild Everly Kate Shearin; her stepdaughter Wanda Kaye Hinnant (Clarence "Clint" Rex); and her stepgrandchildren, Russell Wade Hinnant (Brittaney Kilmer Hinannt), Julia Christine Hinnant and Jesse Rex Hinnant.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation through the American Cancer Society.
