He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Whitfield, Sr. and Clemmie Whitfield. He is survived by: his brother Walter Whitfield, Jr.; his sister-in-law Maxine June Whitfield of Davisburg, MI; his daughter Emilie Karin Filipek; his son-in-law Michael David Filipek of Springfield, NJ; and his girlfriend Laura Landi of Morehead City, NC.. He is also survived by three nieces, one nephew, and a special great niece and nephew.
