He is survived by: his wife Peggy Strickland Denkins of Morehead City; his children, Patti Saleeby of Raleigh and Michael Roy Denkins (Christina) of Beaufort; and his grandchildren, Amanda Lyn Saleeby of Raleigh and Robert Michael Saleeby of Raleigh.
