He was predeceased by: his father Edward Newton; and his former wife Mary Newton. He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Newton; his sons, Robert D. Newton (Kim) of Dartmouth, MA, Wayne Newton (Peggy) of Fairhaven, MA and Gary Newton (Lynn) of Palm Bay, FL; his stepchildren, Lisha Lowe of Morehead City, Stacie Field (Bobby) of Poland, ME, Trisha Leith (Gerald) of Marietta, GA, Kelly Collison (Andy) of Jacksonville, Melissa Gates (Mark) of Cape Carteret, Kendall Lowe (Donna) of Hubert and Stephen Lowe (Diane) of Jacksonville; and his grandchildren, Ashley Aguiar, Derrek Newton, Samantha Dasa, Kyle Newton and Elizabeth Newton. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
