He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret King Brown and Andrew Adair Brown; and his brother William King Brown. He is survived by: his wife Polly Ann Puryear; his children, Peg Burns (Charlton) and Thomas Peyton Brown; and his grandchildren, Zachary Mason Jett (Rebecca), Andrew Rangeley Jett (Allison), Adair Ann Jett, Lillian Grace Jett, Rangeley Jon Jett and Sally Virginia Jett.
