He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Horne and Vallie Horne; his brother Tony Horne; and his nephew Christopher. He is survived by: his daughters, Brittany Daye (Cornell Jr.) of Williamsburg, VA and Taylor Horne of Williamsburg, VA; his siblings, Misty Long (Ryan) of Hertford, NC, Kelli Dycus (Gary) of Jonesboro, LA, Curtis Horne (Donna) of Elizabeth City, NC and Fletcher Lewis (Christi) of Hertford, NC; his grandchildren, Adaline Daye and Emmett Daye; his stepmother Shirley Horne; and his nieces and nephews, Jessi, Jani, Hannah, Skylar, Dustin, Mali-Ann, Grace, Hadley, Raven and Oakley.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the One Harbor Church (1605 Fisher St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Forest Park Church (300 Forest Park Rd, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
