She was predeceased by: her husband Otis Garner; her parents, Emily Catherine Lewis and Joseph Lewis; and her sisters, Margaret Boyd and Peggy Spencer.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Marie Garner Smith of Morehead City and Rodney Gordon Garner (Stephanie) of Troutman, NC; and her siblings, Rhoda Allred of Beaufort, Jo Francis Taupley of Alabama, Alfred F. Lewis of Mississippi and Howard Lewis of Mississippi. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
