It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lou Poore Hollowell of Morehead City, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Lee Hollowell; her parents, Fred L. Poore, Sr. and Edna Swindell Poore; and her siblings, Sue P. Mobley, Dr. Lawrence Poore and Fred H. Poore.

She is survived by: her children, Sally Burke (Ken Dean) of Morehead City, Clifton E. Williams Jr. (Kathleen) of Aurora and Christy W. McBryde (Van) of Kinston; her grandchildren, Stacy Rowe Brooks (Milton), Lauren McBryde Robertson (Tom), Christopher Ryan Williams (Carly), Dr. Michael Sean Williams (Natasha), Wilson Hunter McBryde (Nicole) and Patrick Blake Williams; and her great grandchildren, Alexis Brooks, Lucy Gray, Madison McBryde, Lila Jo Williams, Tessa Robertson, Teagan Williams, Bryson Brooks, Tucker Williams, Hunter McBryde, Bodie Williams, Camden Williams and James Robertson.
