He was predeceased by: his parents, Levy Hardy and Ruth Barker Hardy of South River; his sons, Dennis Hardy and Steve Hardy; and his siblings, Rosa Smith, Nannie Pittman, Jesse Hardy, Vernon Hardy, George Hardy, Bennie Hardy and Marvin Hardy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Robinson Hardy; his children, Donna Blevins (Bob) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Sandra Tosto (James) of South River, Sherry Tosto (Dale) of South River and Kevin Hardy (Jenny) of South River; his brother James Hardy (Jackie); and his grandchildren, Christy Brotherton (Jeff), Patrick Tosto (Andrea), Jenny Brawley (Todd), Jordan Hardy (Emily), Leighton Hardy, Brook Hardy and Trey Hardy. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
