He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Steven James Jr. and Jennie Earl James; his wife Carolyn James; his children, Petra James, Edgar James (Tanya), Miranda Murray (Roy Jr.) and Josie Perez; his stepdaughter Tabitha Kelly (Thomas); his siblings, Elsie Humphrey, Jerry Ann Hendricks, Mack Owens, Elvin James, Earlene Owens and Manley James; his grandchildren, Mileena, Alejandro, Tylene, Kiera, Bryce, Miguel, Julius, Daissyna, Kristen and Sean; his great grandchildren, Willie, Sienna, Lailah and Moncler; his aunt Magalene Bryant; and his uncle William Elbert James. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and friends.
