He was predeceased by: his parents, James Simpson and Agnes Simpson; and his siblings, Alleen Marie Simpson Norman, David Allen Simpson and Larry Douglas Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Tomy Simpson; his children, Laura "Kelly" Simpson Daniels (Joey) of Leland, NC and Michael Joseph Simpson (Sabrina) of Newport; his brother James Matthew Simpson (Janita) of Fleming Island, FL; his grandchildren, Kaylabeth Simpson, Baylee Simpson and Jami Boyette; and his great grandchild Jonathan Godfrey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
