He is survived by: his wife Hazel "Sam" Mereness; his children, Joslyn Mereness of Miami, Florida, William Brooks Mereness (Kerri) of Florida, Rickie Erb (Tracy) of Jacksonville, Florida and Robbie Erb (Linda) of Jacksonville, Florida; his sisters, Lindi Mereness of Paonia and Anne Strupp (Brian) of Rutherford; his grandchildren, Emily, Tyler, Abigail, Lexi, Noah, Brooke and Jacob; his great grandchild Zoe; his nieces and nephews, Basel, Jonas, Stan, Ben and Joslyn; and his pet Belle.
