It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnise Winberry Culpepper (Morehead City, North Carolina), who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arby Winberry and Maggie Love Winberry; her husband Norman Culpepper; and her siblings, Lottie "Rowena" Jones, Elmon "Mutt" Winberry, Frances Juanita Newkirk, Florence Garner and George Barry Winberry.

She is survived by: her son Garry Culpepper (Lek) of Mill Creek, NC; her granddaughters, Jennifer Ear (Peter) of Palm Coast, FL and Alicia Culpepper (Tyler Hankinson) of Sneads Ferry, NC; and her great grandchildren, Kara, Joseph (Simran), Caleb, Hailey, Zachary, Olivia, Lawson, Evan and Kennedy.
