He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Grover Garner and Lou Willie Lewis; his sister Billie; his brother-in-law Bob Bowers; and his siblings, Terry, Mikey and Ricky Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Lanette Garner; his daughter Aimee Garner Johnson (Doug); his grandchildren, Cameron Griffin, Cody and Hunter Johnson; his son Ryan Garner (Tat); his granddaughter Olivia Garner; his niece Robin Crapps (Ronnie); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kadee and Samee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society's Lung Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
