She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Flemming and Ruby Flemming; and her brother Melvin Flemming. She is survived by: her husband Donald Carroll Rice; her children, Debbie R. Brown (Jim) of Newport and Don Rice Jr. (Linda) of Morehead City; her grandsons, Willis Rice and Drew Brown; and her great grandchildren, Addison Rice and Cohen Rice.
