She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter B. Cox and Phoebe G. Cox; her husband William G. "Bill" Overman; and her sisters, Katherine McClenny, Edna Price and Hilda Kornegay.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn Overman (Susan) of Winterville, Russell Overman (Lynn) of Morehead City and Mark Overman (Joey) of Chesapeake, VA; her daughter-in-law Vicky Overman of Ahoskie; her grandchildren, Glenn Overman Jr. of Durham, Heather Deanes (Rick) of Winterville, Betsy Lane of Morehead City, Nick Overman of Norfolk, VA and Sarah Overman of Chesapeake, VA; her great grandchildren, Madison Deanes, Emma Lane, Tyler Deanes, Jackson Lane, Deaglan Overman and Turner Overman; her siblings, Martha Phipps and Bobby Cox of Goldsboro; her stepgrandchildren, Nick Kyriacou (Stephanie) of New Fairfield, CT, Alex Kyriacou of New Fairfield, CT, Jonathon Kyriacou of New Fairfield, CT, Brittany Vermillion of Fredericksburg, VA and Delaney Little of Norfolk, VA; and her stepgreat-grandson Mayson Kyriacou. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, a graveside service for family members only will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC, with Dr. Trey Gilliam and Rev. Anita Thompson officiating.
